Tris dainas mokėjo motina,
Pirmoji buvo – apie sūnų.
Antroji buvo – apie sūnų.
Trečioji buvo – apie sūnų.
Pirmoj dainoj – sūnus išėjo.
Antroj dainoj jo grįžtant laukė.
O iš trečios – jai įkapes pasiuvo.

Dans sa première chanson le fils partait.
Dans sa deuxième chanson le fils allait revenir.

Het derde ging over haar zoon.
In het eerste lied vertrok de zoon.
In het tweede lied wachtte ze op zijn terugkomst.
En uit het derde werd haar doodskleed genaaid.
