Arvis Viguls (1987) is a poet, author of radio programmes on Latvian literature and translator from Spanish and English. He studied Spanish culture at Latvian Academy of Culture and is now studying history and theory of art and culture at Latvian Art Academy. His debut book Istaba (The Room, Riga, Satori, 2009) was awarded the Poetry Days Prize and won the author a creative grand from Ventspils International Writers’ and Translators’ House His translations of poems by Joseph Brodsky published in The selected Poems of Joseph Brodsky (Riga, Neputns, 2009).

 

 

 

 

 

Arvis Viguls (1987) est un poète, auteur de programmes radio sur la littérature lettone et traducteur du letton à l’espagnole et à l’anglais. Il a étudié la culture espagnole à l’Académie de la Culture de Lettonie et est maintenant en train d’étudier l’histoire et la théorie de l’art et de la culture à l’Académie d’Art de Lettonie. Son premier livre Istaba (La Chambre, Riga, Satori, 2009) a reçu le Prix Journées des Poésie ce qui lui a valu l’obtention d’une prime de Ventspils International Writers’ and Translators’ House. Ces traductions de poèmes de Joseph Brodsky ont été publiées dans The selected Poems of Joseph Brodsky (Riga, Neputns, 2009).
