Transpoesie - Poets

Jan Škrob was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, in 1988. He is the author of two books of poetry, Pod dlažbou (Under the Paving Stones, 2016) and Reál (Real Life, 2018). His poems have been translated into German, Polish, and Lithuanian. His debut book was nominated for the 2017 Magnesia Litera Czech literary award in the "Discovery of the Year" category. In 2018, Škrob won the Czech-German award Dresdner Lyrikpreis. His poetry teeters at the intersections of the personal and the political, the fictitious and the real.

Jan Škrob, né à Prague en 1988, est l’auteur de deux recueils de poésies : Pod dlažbou (Sous les pavés, 2016) and Reál (La Vie Réelle, 2018). Son premier livre fut notamment nommé en 2017 pour le prix de littérature tchèque Magnesia Litera dans la catégorie „Découverte de l’année“. En 2018, Škrob a gagné le prix tchèquo-allemand Dresdner Lyrikprei. Sa poésie vacille/balance entre le personnel et le politique, le fictionnel et le réel. Ses poèmes ont été traduits en allemand, polonais et lithuanien.

Jan Škrob is geboren in Praag, in toenmalige Tsjecho-Slowakije, in 1988. Hij is de auteur van twee poëziebundels, namelijk Pod dlažbou (Onder de straatstenen, 2019) en Reál (Het echte leven, 2016). Zijn gedichten zijn vertaald naar het Duits, Pools en Litouws. Zijn debuutbundel werd in 2017 genomineerd voor de Magnesia Litera prijs (een prestigieuze Tsjechische literatuurprijs) in de categorie "Ontdekking van het jaar". In 2018 heeft Škrob de Tsjechisch-Duitse prijs "Dresdner Lyrikprei" gewonnen. Zijn werk balanceert op de kruising tussen het persoonlijk en politiek, fictief en reëel.
