Transpoesie - Poets

Petr Váša, physical poet (writer, composer, performer, artist), was born in 1965 in Brno, studied the history of art at University of Brno, established the music group “Z kopce” (1975) and “Ošklid” (1987). Later on, he was mostly focusing on physical poetry (since 1992 performances and records, since 1992 paintings – visual poems, seminars and workshops at different art high schools). After many years of solo performances, he established another music group called “Ty Syčáci” (1999) and together with the group released many various records.
Váša presented his artwork at many Czech and International stages, published in various medias (illustrated books of poems “Texty, básně, poémes physiques“-Maťa 1994 and „Návrat Plavce Jindřicha“- Petrov 2005; CD Cirkus-Chaos-Minaret - Wolf Records 1998 and  „Manifesto“ - Black Point 2007; TV and radio shows, exhibitions, internet presentations). The last publication is a book + DVD “Fyzické básnictví” – Host 2011, which is a story, manifest and textbook of the style he has been intensively developing.
