Né en 1960 à Metzingen (Allemagne). Elle vit à Luxembourg depuis 2005. Elle a publié wundklee streut aus (Conte Verlag 2011), bild-notizen nach dem sturm, avec le peintre Victor Nicolaev (Almanach Berlin offene Stadt 2012), sterbezettel (edition offenes feld 2016), die empfindlichkeit der libelle (Editions Phi 2017), wie viele faden tief (Conte Verlag 2020), statt einer Ankunft (Conte Verlag 2021) et des textes dans des revues allemandes et luxembourgeoises.

Elle était trois fois lauréate du Concours littéraire national de Luxembourg (2011, 2015, 2020) et désignée auteure de l’année 2020 de l' "Autorinnenvereinigung e.V." en Allemagne. Son recueil wie viele faden tief a été nominé pour le Prix Servais 2021.

Born in 1960 in Metzingen, Germany, Ulrike Bail has lived in Luxembourg since 2005. Her published works include woundwort scatters (Conte Verlag, 2011), image-notes after the storm, with the painter Victor Nicolaev (Almanac Berlin – An Open City, 2012), obituaries (edition offenes feld, 2016), the sensitivity of dragonflies (Editions Phi, 2017), how many fathoms deep (Conte Verlag, 2020), instead of an arrival (Conte Verlag, 2021), and pieces in German and Luxembourgish poetry magazines.

She is a three-time winner of Luxembourg’s national prize for literature, the Concours littéraire national (2011, 2015, and 2020), and she was named author of the year in 2020 for the women writers’ association Autorinnenvereinigung e.V in Germany. Her collection how many fathoms deep was nominated for Luxembourg’s Servais Prize in 2021.

Ze publiceerde wundklee streut aus (Conte Verlag 2011), bild-notizen nach dem sturm, met de schilder Victor Nicolaev (Almanach Berlin offene Stadt 2012), sterbezettel (edition offenes feld 2016), die empfindlichkeit der libelle (Editions Phi 2017), wie viele faden tief (Conte Verlag 2020), statt einer Ankunft (Conte Verlag 2021) en teksten in Duitse en Luxemburgse tijdschriften.

Ze was driemaal laureaat van de Luxemburgse Concours littéraire national (Nationale Literaire Wedstrijd 2011, 2015, 2020) en ze werd door de ‘Autorinnenvereinigung e.V.’ in Duitsland uitgeroepen tot schrijfster van het jaar 2020. Haar bundel wie viele faden tief werd bekroond met de Prix Servais 2021.
