Claudiu KOMARTIN
Claudiu Komartin (b. 1983) is a poet, literary critic and translator. He has written three poetry collections to date, including Domestic Circus (2005) which won the prominent Romanian Academy Poetry Prize. Claudiu is also editor-in-chief of “Poesis International” and has translated poetry and prose from French, English and Italian. Appearing in several international anthologies, his poems are renowned for making ‘a synthesis, both sarcastic and full of hope, of the Romanian contemporary society”.
Claudiu Komartin, né en 1983 à Bucarest (Roumanie), a débuté en 2003 avec un recueil de poèmes, Păpuşarul (Le Maître des Poupées) qui a reçu de nombreux prix littéraires importants, dont le plus réputé serait le Prix National Mihai Eminescu, opera prima. Son second recueil de poèmes, Circul domestic (Le Cirque domestique), paru en 2005, a reçu le Prix de l’Académie Roumaine. En 2009, il a publié Un anotimp în Berceni (Une saison en Berceni). Ses poèmes ont été traduits en plus de douze langues (française, allemande, suédoise, polonaise, bulgares, japonaise, hongroise).
Claudiu Komartin est également traducteur de français (JMG Le Clézio, Philippe Claudel, Tahar Ben Jelloun), anglais et italien, et rédacteur en chef de la revue Poesis International.
