Maria DO ROSÁRIO PEDREIRA

 

Maria DO ROSÁRIO PEDREIRA est née à Lisbonne en 1959. Elle a une maîtrise en Langues et Littératures Modernes, du cours d'Études Françaises et Anglaises, de la Faculté des Lettres de l'Université Classique de Lisbonne. Elle a été professeur pendant cinq ans, activité qui l’a influencée de manière décisive à écrire pour la jeunesse. Elle est par la suite entrée dans la carrière éditoriale, ayant assumé depuis 1987 les fonctions d’assistance d’édition, rédactrice, directrice de publications et éditrice. En tant qu’écrivain, elle travaille dans trois directions : la littérature pour la jeunesse, le roman et la poésie. Elle a publié plus de trente ouvrages et reçu plusieurs prix littéraires.
