Vystudoval autorské herectví, srovnávací literaturu a sociální práci a novinařinu. Věnuje se tvorbě performancí a rituálů, propojujících nejrůznější umělecké formy.

Performoval na stadionu, v hypermarketu, ve squatě, v pajzlech, univerzitách i kostelech, na ulicích, svatbách i v azylových domech. Za knižní debut Miluji svou babičku víc než mladé dívky (Dauphin, 2017) obdržel Cenu Jiřího Ortena. Je členem evropských iniciativ Versopolis Poetry a CELA – Connecting Emerging Literary Artists. Jako autor nebo performer se představil na různých festivalech doma i v zahraničí (Spoken Word Festival Warsaw, FITUC v Casablance, le Fil ve francouzském Besançonu, italský Hombres Video Poetry Festival, budapešťský Pestext, bratislavská Ars Poetika, queer festival WILD!, aj.). Roku 2009 zvítězil v republikovém finále slam poetry.

Ondřej Macl has a background in acting and writing, comparative literature, social work and journalism. He devotes himself, among other things, to performances and rituals, combining various forms of art.

He has performed in stadiums, hypermarkets, squats, rough pubs, universities and churches, on the streets, at weddings and in shelters. His first book, I Love My Grandma More Than I Love Young Women (Dauphin, 2017) won the prestigious Czech Jiří Orten Prize for Young Authors. He is a member of Versopolis and CELA - Connecting Emerging Literary Artists. As an author or performer, he has performed in various festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad (Spoken Word Festival in Warsaw, FITUC in Casablanca, Fil in Besançon, Hombres Video Poetry Festival in Italy, Budapest Pestext, Ars Poetika in Bratislava, the queer festival WILD! etc.) In 2009 he won the Czech national slam poetry final.

Ondřej Macl a une formation d’acteur et en écriture dramatique, en littérature comparée, en travail social et en journalisme. Il se consacre entre autre aux performances et aux rituels, combinant diverses formes d'art.

Il s'est produit dans un stade, dans un hypermarché, des squats, des cafés peu fréquentables, dans les universités et les églises, dans la rue, lors de mariages et dans les refuges. Son premier livre J'aime ma grand-mère plus que les jeunes filles (Dauphin, 2017) a remporté le prestigieux prix tchèque Jiří Orten pour les jeunes auteurs. Il est membre de Versopolis et de CELA - Connecting Emerging Literary Artists. En tant qu'auteur ou interprète, il s'est produit dans divers festivals en en République tchèque et à l'étranger (Spoken Word Festival à Varsovie, FITUC à Casablanca, le Fil à Besançon, Hombres Video Poetry Festival en Italie, Budapest Pestext, Ars Poetika à Bratislava, le festival queer WILD !, etc.) En 2009, il a remporté la finale nationale tchèque de slam poetry.
