Rita KOGAN

Rita Kogan is a poet, translator and writer. She was born in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia in 1976 and immigrated to Israel in 1990. She lives in Tel Aviv. Kogan published two poetry books: A license to misspell (2015, Elrom publishing house) and A horse in a skirt (2018, Iton 77 publishing house). She translated four books from 19th century Russian classic literature to Hebrew: The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights by Alexander Pushkin, The Scarlet Flower by Sergey Aksakov, The Town in the Snuff-box by Vladimir Odoyevsky and The Black Hen or The Underground Inhabitants by Antony Pogorelsky (all by Kadima publishing house). Her poems and short stories were published in the leading Israeli literature magazines (Ho!, Iton 77, Maayan, Moznaim, Granta & etc.) and in the daily newspapers. Her first prose book Land of Stone with short stories and novellas is about to be published in September 2021 by Kinneret, Zmora, Dvir publishing house.

Rita Kogan est poétesse, traductrice et écrivain. Née en 1976 à Saint-Pétersbourg (alors Leningrad), elle a émigré avec sa famille à l’âge de quatorze ans. Elle vit à Tel Aviv.

Elle a publié deux recueils de poésie :  Un permis de faire des fautes, paru en 2015 aux éditions Elrom et  Un cheval en jupe aux éditions Iton77 en 2018. Elle a traduit quatre romans de la littérature classique russe du 19ème siècle en hébreu pour les éditions Kadima : Conte de la princesse morte et des sept chevaliers  d’Alexandre Pushkin, La fleur écarlate de Sergeï Aksakov, La ville dans une tabatière de Vladimir Odoevsky et La poule noire ou les habitants souterrains d’Antony Pogorelsky.

Les plus importants magazines littéraires et quotidiens israéliens (Ho!, Iton 77, Maayan, Moznaim, Granta & etc. …. ) publient régulièrement ses poèmes et ses nouvelles. Un premier ouvrage en prose, Terre de pierre, vient de paraître dans la prestigieuse maison d’édition Kinneret - Zmora Bitan – Dvir.
