.הֵם לֵאִים, מְבֻסָּמִים מִשֶּׁמֶשׁ
,כַּפּוֹת רַגְלֵיהֶם צְרוּבוֹת וַחֲלָקוֹת
.עוֹרָם מָלוּחַ וְעֵינֵיהֶם מְלֵאוֹת אֹפֶק
,גַּרְגְּרֵי חוֹל נִזְרָעִים מִבִּגְדֵיהֶם הַלַּחִים

#Poems to Yehoram [People, returning from the sea]
It’s easy to spot people returning from the sea.
They are weary, tipsy from sun.
Their feet soles are singed and smooth,
Their skin is salty, their eyes are full of horizon.
Grains of sand sprinkle off their damp clothes,
Like crumbs of happiness,
Marking their way home.

Facile de reconnaître les gens qui reviennent de la mer.
Ils sont fatigués, enivrés de soleil,
la plante des pieds brûlée et lisse,
la peau salée et les yeux chargés d’horizon.
Leurs vêtements humides sèment des grains de sable,
comme des miettes de bonheur,
qui marquent le chemin vers leur maison.
