Raquel LIMA

Raquel Lima is a poet, performer, and art educator, who graduated in Artistic Studies at the University of Lisbon and is a doctoral candidate in Post-Colonial Studies at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra, with her research focused on Orature, Slavery and Afrodiasporic movements. She released, in October 2019, her first book and audio-book of poetry entitled Ingenuidade Inocência Ignorância (BOCA and Animal Sentimental), and has presented her poetic work in artistic events in Europe, South America and Africa. She published her poetry in several languages as a spokenword performance artist and has been organizing poetry workshops, highlighting the 'Workshop Poetry, Race and Gender: for an intersectional poetic writing'. She co-coordinated the 7th Afroeuropeans Conference: "Black In/Visibilities Contested", and was part of the anthology “Kontinentaldrift: Das Schwarze Europa” organized by Fiston Mwanza Mujila.

Raquel Lima est poète, performer et art educator, diplômée en études artistiques à l’Université de Lisbonne. Elle prépare un doctorat en études Post-Coloniales au Centre d’études sociales de l’Université de Coimbra. Sa recherche est centrée sur la transmission orale, l’esclavage et les mouvements afrodiasporiques. En octobre 2019, elle a lancé son premier livre et audio-livre de poésie intitulé Ingenuidade Inocência Ignorância (BOCA et Animal Sentimental). Elle a présenté son travail poétique lors d’événements artistiques en Europe, Amérique du Sud et Afrique. Raquel Lima a publié sa poésie en plusieurs langues en tant que  ‘spokenword performance artiste’ (ou artiste-interprète de la langue parlée) et elle a organisé des workshops de poésie dont en particulier le workshop intitulé ‘Poésie, Race et Genre: pour une écriture poétique intersectionnelle.

Elle a co-coordonné la 7ème Conférence afroeuropéenne : ‘Black In/Visibilities Contested’ et elle a intégré l’anthologie “Kontinentaldrift: Das Schwarze Europa” réalisée par Fiston Mwanza Mujila.

Ze publiceerde haar poëzie in verschillende talen als een spokenword performance artiest en ze organiseert poëzie workshops, waaronder de "Workshop Poëzie, Ras en Gender: voor een intersectioneel poëtisch schrijven".

Zij was medecoördinator van de 7de Afroeuropeaanse Conferentie “Black In/Visibilities Contested” en maakt deel uit van de bloemlezing "Kontinentaldrift: Das Schwarze Europa", georganiseerd door Fiston Mwanza Mujila.
