Iona LEE
Iona Lee is a writer of poetry and non-fiction, artist, illustrator and spoken-word performer from Edinburgh. She has been a prominent member of Scotland's live poetry scene for almost ten years, appearing on radio and television, and reading her work in venues and on festival stages all over the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, the Albert Hall and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Iona has been published extensively, in newspapers, anthologies and journals, with poetry appearing in the likes of Hatchett publishing's Poems for A Green and Blue Planet, the Scotsman and Gutter Magazine, and with essays and articles in Bella Caledonia, the Skinny and a recent anthology of contemporary writings on witchcraft - The Modern Craft. Iona is the frontwoman of a band called Acolyte, who's single The Black Cat was BBC Radio Scotland's single of the week in 2021. She is currently studying for an MFA in Art & Philosophy. Her pamphlet (Polygon, 2018) was shortlisted for a Saltire Award and in 2022 her upcoming debut collection was shortlisted for an Edwin Morgan Poetry Award. Follow her at @ionaleepoetry.

Elle est membre éminente de la scène poétique Écossaise depuis près de dix ans, apparaissant à la radio et à la télévision, et récitant ses œuvres dans lieux culturels et sur des scènes de festivals partout au Royaume-Uni et en Europe, y compris Glastonbury, le Albert Hall, et le Festival International du livre d’Edimbourg. Iona Lee is een schrijver van zowel poëzie als non-fictie. Zij is een kunstenaar, illustrator en spoken word performer uit Edinburgh. Bijna tien jaar is zij inmiddels een prominent lid van de Schotse live-poëziescène: zij heeft haar werk voorgelezen niet alleen op radio en televisie maar ook op podia en op festivals in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Europa, waaronder Glastonbury, de Albert Hall en het Edinburgh International Book Festival. Iona’s werk is uitgebreid gepubliceerd, in kranten, bloemlezingen en tijdschriften, met haar poëzie die verscheen in Hatchett's Poems for A Green and Blue Planet, de Scotsman and Gutter Magazine, en met essays en artikelen in Bella Caledonia, de Skinny en een recent bloemlezing van hedendaagse geschriften over hekserij - The Modern Craft.
