Pavojingi laikai. Keisti metai.

Kada iš namų beišeitum – naktis.                             

Naktis ir primusų liepsnelės danguje

Lyg į laukymę būtų subridus

Turistų minia.

 

Būk atsargus ir paprastas                              

Kaip haiku. Gražios daržovės,

Kava su sausainiais, arbatos                         

puodelis – viso to nebėra.

Des temps dangereux. Des saisons étranges.

Quand tu sors de chez toi, invariablement c’est la nuit.

La nuit et les flammes de ce brûleur dans le ciel

Comme si une foule de touristes

Avait investi une clairière.

 

Sois avisé et simple

Comme un haïku. De belles légumes,

Du café et des biscuits, une tasse

De thé – tout cela n’est plus.

Gevaarlijke tijden. Vreemde jaren.

Ga je het huis uit dan is het nacht.

Nacht en primusvlammen aan de hemel

Of op een open plek een groep toeristen

Is samengestroomd.

 

Wees voorzichtig en simpel

Als een haiku. Mooie groenten,

Koffie met kaakjes, een kopje

thee – het is er niet meer.
