Come and listen to poets from Iceland, the Basque Country, Sweden, the Netherlands and Belgium at the opening night of Transpoesie. This annual poetry festival celebrates the diversity of languages. KLARA journalist Gudrun De Geyter will be interviewing the poets. A translation of their work is projected as they read it out to the people gathered.Notable guests include Brussels’ very own Laurence Vielle, our Belgian national poet for 2016, and Tonnus Oosterhoff of the Netherlands, who you might know from his ‘moving' poems. In addition you will get the chance to discover the young Swede Ida Börjel, the Icelandic wonder boyEiríkur Örn Norðdahl and from the Spanish Basque Country.
